Happy Bees on Flowers

I recently painted a colorful painting in the Ukrainian Petrykivka style. I added some cute little bees at my mother's request (save the bees!).  Even though bees aren't typical in traditional Petrykivka, I thought they came out nicely. I like to do my own twists on the things I learn.

I also uploaded the design to Redbubble, if you would like to peruse the fabulous products they offer and order something with my little bees and pretty flora.

They have a wide range of things to choose from: clothing, smartphone covers, tablet covers, notebooks, wall art, scarves, clocks, travel mugs, coffee mugs.  Just about anything!

The Secret Life of Towel Bars

Our new spice rack was once an old, ugly, abandoned towel bar trapped in the wrong body.  I helped it find its true identity with some paint and a scrap piece of wood.  This was painted with some of my cat's fur glued onto a toothpick.  You don't need fancy tools or materials to make cool stuff. I just wanted a simple way to access our favorite @penzeys2.0 spice blends.

Teeny tiny Hallingdal

 I painted this little tiny painting in the Hallingdal style of rosemaling.  Nontraditional colors but traditional design. Isn’t it cute? It is only 2 in. square.

Barn quilt ahoy!

I finished our #barnquilt, did a little dance, and now I will spend this sunny day sealing it up to weatherproof it.

Sad Eyes

Ooohweeeee!  Color junkie alert! Finally finished this one and it is so perky and happy.  It glows in the dark with a black light (swipe through to see). Thank you, #AnitaWard, for recording the  song #RingMyBell on the #Juana record label in 1979. You totally inspired me to paint this.  Color often helps lift my mood. I hope it helps you, too.

We are the village green preservation society

I had an explosion of extra succulent babies this winter.  All the babies had babies.  So now I am painting the cutest little 4” pot sets to plant the grandplants in.  I love you, cute little baby cacti 🌵 , but now I will sell you.

The pots will be sealed with polyurethane to protect the vibrant colors. There are currently 6 matching pots.
